Author’s Short Bio

Mark Malmin is a retired Californian Advanced POST Certificated law enforcement officer and training instructor, patriot, US Army veteran, and author from San Jose, CA. He graduated with honors as Top Academic student of his police academy and holds a BS degree in in Criminal Justice Administration from San Jose State University (CA). The author writes, consults, and has done public speaking and POST certified training that thematically addresses issues of warrior culture, subculture, suicide, stress management, and spirituality. In 2013 the author was a guest speaker at Stanford University, addressing the institution’s staff psychologists on occupational and sociological issues of warrior culture, subculture, and stress management. The author served in the US Army, and as a Californian ‘Bay Area’ Peace Officer for 28 years, holding positions of hostage negotiator, detective with specialized Juvenile law expertise, police Field Training Officer (FTO), and acting field supervisor.
